The Game Film

Man, we have transitioned right into Second Season with no time to spare! Second Season is that elite, glorious part of football that I just love - aka Playoffs. It's go time - win or go home - leave it all on the field.

Our family life takes on a different look during this time...Friday nights are no longer the norm....weekend work hours are varied...and travel is a must.

During the first game of this season, Little Man and I traveled to Cowboys Stadium to cheer on our team. Our seats were in the perfect position to watch Coach as he steadily filmed the game.  He's one of several on the film crew.  These guys tirelessly not only film the games, but review additional films of opponents in the wee hours of the morning.  They are in the trenches in terms of preparation for the next game.

As I watched Coach prepare the film, I had a thought....what does our life's "film" say about us? Do we exhibit the attitudes and values that Christ would have us show? Is your highlight reel full of humbling actions or selfish actions? Seriously think about it - what would the opposing team {Satan} say about you? Are your weaknesses readily exposed or do you walk in the Light of the World?

Truly some deep thoughts to ponder this week of Thanksgiving.  As you go about your days, remember your actions and reactions become a part of you life's film.

By the grace of God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.   1 Cor 3:10
